I will never respect Joe for the simple reason he spent the most part of his prime career avoiding the only other SMW that mattered: Sven Ottke.

Ottke would have made Joe's 0 disappear and JC knew this, which is why he spent his career tap dancing around a talentless Lacy, an ancient Roy Jones & a green & overhyped Kessler.

At least Joe Louis stepped up to the plate and fought the best his division had to offer.

To be fair though Lyle Ottke would have lost to Calzaghe but he was better than all of the people he was fighting then.
