This article makes no sense.

They are obviously running out of stuff to talk about. Hatton is probably bored to death having to hear/think/see all this stuff about one fighter all the time. It's almost like these two guy are running for some office... then again... aren't they?

I was looking at it as the writer's attempt to be humorous....
