KELL Brook is being groomed for a title shot within the next four months.
The Hillsborough welterweight is beginning to realise the potential and trust successive trainers have placed in him.
He took wily Welsh journeyman Geraint Harvey to pieces in a show last week at Barnsley Metrodome - and is now in the shape of his life after conquering weight issues.
Handler Dave Coldwell thinks he is one fight away from being pitched into a title encounter.
"Kell was bang on the weight at 10st 7lbs and really let fly against an opponent who knows his way around the ring," he said.
"He knocked Harvey down in the second and the guy soon decided he'd had enough and quit in the third.
"Harvey has been in with some big punchers in the past and done okay against them. So to see him winching at the power of Kell's shots was quite an eye-opener.
"Kell picked his shots really well and you could hear them hammering home.
"We hope to get Kell on a bill at Manchester on July 15 and if that goes well there could be a title bash round about September."
