It's a good match up but Dawson seems to get complacent in fights and fade late, Green has shown his ability to get complacent but he doesn't seem to have that fading issue that Dawson has. Dawson can beat anyone in boxing for 6 rounds, and then he starts to fade. Green seems the type who in his mind is already great so he fights with that kind of confidence but at the same time doesn't waste his punches too much. While Dawson will be a throwing masterpiece for 6 rounds, it leaves after that.
Dawson doesn't seem a one punch guy but Green seems to have one punch power in his left hand.
This is a fight I'd love to see. It's not like anything is happening at Light Heavyweight atm.
Allan Green doesn't seem to have that fading issue ? he went down twice in the last round against Edison Miranda. What would you call that ? Plus how can you tell anyway ? Allan Green has only gone 10 rounds and he's only gone 10 rounds with two decent fighters not any elite fighters not even close, and in one of those fights he went down twice in the last round. Allan Green hasn't done anything in ages this fight would be a waste of time and it would make Chad Dawson even weaker.
There's plenty of fights at Light Heavyweight to be made.
Chad Dawson vs Glen Johnson 2
Chad Dawson vs Tavoris Cloud
Chad Dawson vs Adrian Diaconu
Chad Dawson vs Danny Green
Any of these fights are better than a fight with Allan Green at 168.
