I dont give the F****** newsagent a couple of quid extra cause he said Hi. We pay taxes so employers can pay their staff, this is just another tax.
That is it. ( F*** that is all, thats so 1998 )
waitstaff/bartenders in the US make 2-3 dollars an hour and sometimes none at all the gratuity that they EARN with good service is their wage. And in the US no taxpayers money goes to pay any employees other than federal employees...I don't understand why this is such a big deal or hard concept to grasp. Tip earning jobs are essential to a large part of young people b/c of the ability to be flexible with their schedules and the ability to make decent money while going to school, caring for their children etc. If yall don't like the plan than vacation somewhere else. I don't complain about the higher prices or poor service when I travel to Europe b/c thats just the way it is.
