Carl is very much a fighter that climatises to the fight as it progresses.

Against pascal he had to completely rethink his strategy as jean was out working him, against taylor he was getting beaten to the punch by a far heavier puncher and had to use all his boxing knowledge to outwork jermain.

A certain Mr Calzaghe was also well known for adapting to certain styles as a fight went on. I just dont see how dirrell can win this unless he can use that lightening quick hand speed to get in and out whenever possible and force carl to chase the fight and take punches on the counter.
