Mosley knows if he fights Clottey or Berto he has more chance of getting old over night or lose. So he wants the one fight with Mayweather where win or lose he gets a big payday.
So Shane, the 36 year old hall of famer should have to fight the young lions, but Floyd shouldn't have to? Shane has paid his dues, he deserves a fight with Floyd. I don't care what he turned down 4 years ago, or who said he was shot 2 years ago blah blah blah.
You know its the pbf camp that's twisted that story around...shane said in after the vargas fight that he had to see a dentist and then go on vacation. That dentist trip turned into surgery. so he suggested that floyd go fight someone else and then they could fight in Jan or feb...What I don't get is that if they offered shane a fight 4 years ago which is 2005. The year he fought david estrada and cruz shane certainly wasn't a draw then, so the logic is off. Why offer shane a fight then when he clearly wasn't as big of a draw as he is now having set the record for attendance at the staples center? Could it be they thought Shane was washed and Floyd could capitalize of gaining a victory over a former pound for pound number 1...That floyd camp has some crafty fight dodgers...
That doesn't make sense to me. If anything, Mosley is slower now than four years ago, more dangerous then than now. If anything, he's more of a draw which is THE thing that gets Mayweather's attention. I think the only reason why they wouldn't fight Mosley is because Pac-Cotto is on the horizon and that's a lock for mo' money.
