Pretty exciting opening weekend!
England travelled to Cardiff to dispatch the Welsh pretty comprehensively (29-19.)
To me the Welsh looked pretty imaginative with andball in hand but their pack were undersized in this game and they suffered from the set piece.
The French opened their campaign against Scotland with intent. The 34-21 scoreline stood testament to the quality of their backs. Scotland were not a pushover though and seem to have developed imo.
Most fans saw the Ireland vs. Italy game as a foregone conclusion, but Ireland struggled desperately with the physicality of the Italian game. They trailed the game only to be rescued by super substitute O' Gara.
From the opening weekend it looks like a two horse race between the English and French.
However, the Welsh can casuse anyone problems as their Autumn tests proved and both Scotland and Italy look to be two teams on the up and up. Ireland two have a couple of returns from their list of eleven injured players, so looking forward to seeing nexct weeks games.
