I think Pavlik will be relegated into those "what if" fighters. Not as extreme as lets say a Tony Ayala or Ibeabuchi since he did become a lineal champ at a weight division, but he is an underachiever imo.
Yeah, you could be right. He might be remembered as the type of guy who could have been so much more than he was had his personal issues not gotten in the way, but he's still young enough to turn everything around and to make his struggles little more than an impressive footnote in his career. And I say this as someone who has actively rooted against Pavlik for pretty much his whole career.
