Admittedly there are some fights where I can see his point (imo both Pac-Cotto & PBF-Mosley should have been stopped at about 8th-10th rounds as it was clear neither was going to win, weren't in the fight & they just took unnecessary punishment), but a fight like the Katsidis-Guerrero fight, I never felt Katsidis was out of it, even as he fell further behind.
That made me laugh! So true
I think British commentators on the whole seem worse than the Americans when it comes to the 'finding a theme early and sticking to it' thing. Watt is the worst for this though. A few good jabs land in round 1 from a fighter and you can be sure that even in round 12 we will be hearing about how the jab has controlled the fight etc.
On the other hand, HBO in particular annoy me by changing theme TOO easily. Like one guy is getting smashed up bad, then lands one or two punches and they go mad 'HERE COMES FIGHTER X! FIGHTING HIS WAY BACK INTO IT!' and start talking straight away like its been a back and forth fight.
