Mosley vs Marquez at 147, IMO, will be a KO win for Shane.... or at worst, a better than average UD.
Firstly, it is hard for me to envision Juan Manuel Marquez competetive at that weight, let alone going up against a very accomplished and a future HOF'er in Shane Mosley.
Secondly, JMM having little or no big weapons to keep Mosley "concerned", gunshy, nor at bay, will find the going against him too rough. Against Shane physically the larger and stronger man, the fight can surely turn into a toe to toe affair... hard to imagine Juan looking good in those. Add to that, recent developments have had Juan Manuel taking longer to get going in his last few outings and visibly, he easily gets bruised or damaged, a surefire sign of a fighter getting slowed down by father time.
Lastly, I believe his style of a "countering maestro", when pitted against a larger man, being under powered, will surely be less effective. In this scenario... it'd look more like Juan Manuel countering for safety than him countering by strategy. Winning rounds for JMM will be hard to come by.
Being smaller too forces him susceptible to over-reach at times, this renders him more off balanced on exchanges more than normally he would against a fighter his size. These unnatural fight for distance are the times when Juan had found himself dropped on more than a few occassions.
Shane has not lost that much quickness to be noticeably slower than JMM on exchanges nor in countering.
In summary, JMM's best weapons stylistically will not scare nor pose problems for Shane Mosley, and if so, I see a lot of harm coming JMM's way.
So, IMHO, Shane over JMM via stoppage or domination!
