Also just in terms of general safety and security, I think it is easier being a man. I've never really had any violent or dangerous confrontations beyond knocking people over in the street sometimes. I had an old female coworker who always used to be hassled by really creepy men in the street, now if she had knocked one over she would have got hurt. She was tiny. Being a man has advantages in terms of things like being safe and travelling around to different countries. I feel quite secure and safe as a man. Nobody is going to hurt me. Sure they probably could, but being a man is usually deterrent enough.
