I've totally lost interest in seeing this fight, and I agree, it would never live up to the hype.

final reason in the article is one I have been spouting about for a while: both guys are going to be past their primes by the time they fight.

Floyd is going to be 35 early 2012, and will have fought 5 times in a 5 year period. While he is still a great fighter, his legs didn't look great in the Mosley fight. Yes, he dominated all but a 10 second stretch of the fight, but his legs didn't have the same spring they once had. It has been over a year since that fight and they won't get better.

Pac is going to be 33 by end of this year, but he is a small guy fighting against bigger fighters. Even when he wins convincingly he looks rather marked up by the shots from bigger men (after the Cotto, Clottey, Margarito fights his face looked a little rough especially considering how bad he beat all 3 guys). At some point, taking shots from bigger men will take a huge toll on Pac, especially coupled with general aging that all athletes endure, and distractions (political career).
