I've only just watched the fight, so I'm a little behind and this has probably been mentioned elsewhere, but is this the greatest post-match/fight interview you have ever seen?

Jim Gray could do good interviews every day for a decade and he'd STILL be the worst interviewer I've ever seen in the sports world.
He didn't even do THIS one very well. Here's how it should have gone.
"Russell, why did you warn Mares so many times about low blows without deducting a point? We counted a dozen warnings."
Mora Answers
"Russell, can you see how fans and observers could wonder why you kept warning and not taking points?"
Mora answers
"Russell, we'd like you to look at the knockdown in the eleventh round again. Please tell us what you see on film."
Mora answers
"Russell, can you see why ringside observers, me included, think you had an awful night and may well have unfairly influenced the outcome of the fight?
THAT approach would have pinned Mora in a corner in a way Gray didn't by going straight to the KD like it was an isolated event.
And yes, I hate Jim Gray![]()
Hidden Content Bring me the best and I will knock them out-Alexis Arguello
I'm not God, but I am something similar-Robert Duran
he asked the questions most fans wanted. great job
Yes it was Jim Gray's masterpiece.. It's funny because I used to dislike this man so much but after last night, Im officially on the Gray bandwagon.. Wow he really spoke the truth and put this POS Mora in his place..
I never used to like him much but he has grown on me over the years.
I think he got made to look like a proper douche over the James Toney incident many years ago and that clouded many people's view of him. But he's generally pretty good I think.
Jim Grey is a tool
"I got milk baby! Who's next?"
I wish I could find a clip of one of his with Kostya Tzsyu yrs ago. "No..no...you repect me, show respect" in broken English. Gray just went a bit limp![]()
I really wish showtime had kept a running count of warnings about low blows. That really would have put Mora in an absolute corner. i would guess he did make a warning at least 5-6 times. What ref warns someone at least that many times for low shots and doesn't take a point![]()
Redemption doesn't come with one interview when Jim Gray interviewed that referee that should have stepped aside for a better official, his seeing eye dog. In the past I have thought of Mr. Gray as a piss ant on steroids. He did try and when the opportunity came to make heads or tales of another asshole that should be shoveling manure at a local stable, he missed the boat. He was however on top of things but he still needs to learn the definition of diplomacy. One so called good interview does not make up for the fact that if stoning was legal boxers would be on line with the first rocks to be thrown.
Jim has been put in his place many times..... he picks and chooses who he pretends to ask those in your face questions too..
