in my view they should bring back the cane in school (they wont!) and parents shouldnt be scared to hit their children (not with excessive force!)

The single parent family thing is not always the excuse. These kids dont need the army and they certainly dont always need a father in the life to teach them respect and good manners.

There should be an element of fear in every child in regards to their parents and elders and thats when they learn that respect..without that you have lawlessness.
