Peer pressure huh? Sorry but if tens of thousands of people my age were killing themselves, would not make me follow along to the grave.

Excuses are like assholes, Everyone has one and they use them often.
I'm not excusing their actions and I don't really understand it, but mob-mentality is a very real thing.

Here in Vancouver, thousands of otherwise law-abiding young people decided to destroy their own city after a hockey game. A huge number of them simply could not explain their actions, and said they just got caught up in what was going on. It's something that is corroborated by social scientists and psychologists and I'm inclined to believe them.

It doesn't excuse people for doing what they did, but it does help to explain it.
