Teddy wanted to start camp in the US, Povetkin never came over, Teddy wanted Povetkin sparring and doing ring work, and he hadn't, and Atlas damn near quit (again....such a Drama Queen) but Povetkin's dedication to him as a trainer kept him in. Teddy has said Povetkin isn't in really good boxing shape so maybe this closes the gap because Chagaev will be around til the bell rings to end the fight, he's NOT getting KO'd that's for sure.
El Kabong, I've read commentary elsewhere where the author looked at this fight as a fight between a good athlete/raw boxer in Povetkin and a better technical boxer/not-as-good athlete in Chagaev. The same author picked Povetkin because of his natural abilities and because Chagaev is aging (struggled with Travis Walker). How do you feel about this?

I see Povetkin taking a UD. He's more fresh, he's got good handspeed, decent pop (enough to keep Ruslan honest). Ruslan likes to work his way in and since his achilles injury he's less effective. Ruslan is a plodder, but he's tough and if he lands flush he could win by KO as I still have doubts about Povetkin's chin. It should be a fun fight to watch.

As for the other fight, Helenius SHOULD blast out Liakhovich mid to late, but Sergei has a heart and a decent chin. I just don't know if he has the fire or the stamina to keep up with Robert. Helenius is getting more coverage now, I wouldn't say he's overrated but I also don't think he's ready to challenge for the titles yet. I hope Helenius is the real deal so once Wlad stops him he gets some credit.
