There was a remarkable convergence of power in the MW divisions of the 1990's. Both Norris and The Beast have to be among the top 10 hardest hitting LMW's of all-time. Then you had Julian Jackson, who was like the Earnie Shavers of these divisions. Add Gerald McClellan to the mix and I don't know if one could find 4 boxers of equivalent LB-4-LB power fighting at the same time.
They arrived just off the heals of the Hagler-Hearns-SRL-Duran era, so they were a little overshadowed. Roy Jones emerged around the same time but did not fight any of the above. Nigel Bell could pack a punch too.
Thats a lot of power in 1 and 1/2 a division over such a short timespan. I suspect the 4 mentioned first along with Hagler, Jones, and Hearns all deserve seats in the top 15 or maybe even top 10 all-time hardest hitting LMW-MW list.
