As much as I'd love to see Ortiz stomp a mud hole in Floyds backside I think his chances are slim and none. His desire is rekindled and merits mass respect for making his detractors eat their words by knocking around a frozen and flawed Berto but any comparison ends when Floyd laces his gloves. Berto was landing wind up eyes half closed shots on A squared and frontal Ortiz and I think Mayweather will have him looking like a new born calf midway on balance alone. Ortiz best hope is to just jump him school yard style really as he really has nothing to lose and the world to gain.

I see Ortiz eating a lot of right hands. That is all.

No sig bet Rant-Cat, Floyd is slicker then owl shit, and could win a decision, so it wouldn't be a good bet for me. I just believe if Victor brings the same fire & determination he did against Berto, keeps the pressure on, and shows Mayweather no respect, he's got a good chance at pulling off the upset. Floyd is good, but he ain't fucking superman.
Fair play Mars. Are you one of those that thought Ortiz would win more rounds against Mayweather than Marquez would against Pacquiao?

I definitely think this will be his toughest fight in recent memory. Mosley was shot, JMM a blown up LW, ODLH was shot, he said it himself. I think his heart will be tested even more than the Maidana fight, Floyd will frustrate him throughout the night and Vic will have to keep coming through punches. I would love for Vic to get the win

It would have to be considered a big upset, let's hope Ortiz doesn't get screwed on the Judges scorecards if it goes to a decision. Vic is the 'Champion', so it's up to Floyd to take the title, and Vic ain't gonna give it up easy.

I agree 100%, Ortiz is not going to make it easy for Floyd. He's going to have to get the KO to get the win. If it goes to a decision i can't see him winning it. I'm really pulling for Vic, i'm tired of listening to the Mayweathers.

Really? You think a slugger like Vic is gonna land more clean shots than Floyd, one of the slickest defensive fighters I've seen, and also one of the best counter-punchers? DLH may say now 'I was shot' but how much is that for his own ego, and how much was it for Ortiz's? Fact is DLH was a far superior fighter to Ortiz, and he put a lot of pressure on Mayweather and had some early success with the jab. Keep in mind, though, that DLH was a great fighter, with a lot of ring experience, who came up with (imo) the correct game plan to give Mayweather trouble/beat him, yet he couldn't stick to it for 12 rounds, and even when he was leading with the jab and throwing 3,4 punches from different angles, Floyd was dodging/blocking 95% of his shots and hitting DLH *between* his shots. His aggression and partial success, however (along with the fact a lot of Mayweather's timed shots were probably not seen clearly over DLH's flailing, windmill arms), and of course, his name, no doubt ensured a SD, BUT tbh it could easily have been a UD. There is no way Vic will win on the cards, unless he manages to knock Floyd down, but even should he get the nod in that case I would imagine PBF would still finish the fight with a much higher connection percentage. I guess it comes down to how you score fights, but personally I've always thought the bottom line of *boxing* was to out-box your opponent. I really see only three possible outcomes: Floyd UD; Floyd SD; Floyd TKO. Of course there is an outside chance that Ortiz could land a good shot and KO Floyd, or KD him and then jump all over him, but I don't think he is as heavy handed as Shane, nor does he have that man's experience. The one thing he does have on his side is youth, and he should jump on Floyd early and try to mug him, but I think in the end Ortiz's style is gonna land him in serious trouble, he could even be dismantled in a similar way to Hatton, though his chin should stand up to any punishment PBF can dish out much better than Hatton's did. Time will tell - one punch (from either fighter) can change it all, in anycase, and if the fight is nothing else, I think it should be interesting to watch.

I'm sick of this Canelo clown, a total ginger hype job from the off. Handpicked opponents, always on HBO. Fraud!

I hope Ortiz wins by KO, but I really haven't been impressed with him in recent fights. A punchers chance is all he has. Mayweather will likely box his head off and maybe even force the stoppage.

Dont we all know that the judges will be looking at Floyd as if he holds the belt and all the cards in this.

Hey y'all just wanted to weigh in with my two cents.

From the emotional side of things, I really hope to see Ortiz put his gloves through the dark hole mayweather calls his mouth.

Having your parents leave you, his brother and Victor defending for themselves. I always root for the underdog.

Now my logical side sees Money with the win. Ulta slick defenses, the right hand, the mental lead up to the fight.

One thing I thought was interesting on 24/7 was Floyd doing 3 a days. I know his work ethic got him to this point, but at 34 years-old with a long lay-off, how much of this training is him doubting his skills are as sharp as they use to be?

I think it's time for a new humble Champion in my boy, VO

Floyd is in great shape and Ortiz has done all he can. Speed and guile belongs to Floyd and experience is in his corner. Ortiz has youth and speed but the flexibility of a snake and adaptability belongs to Floyd. Power is a plus that makes Ortiz a threat but you have to cut the ring off on Floyd. He has to become a larger version of Castillo.
