I also asked him once. Didn't answer back. Strangely, I have grown fond of seeing it and would be upset if he left it out of his prediction post.
I have concluded that it is some form of outback slang that only someone from the Wolf Creek area would understand. I think it means you just killed a baby kangaroo.
I know round here "biscuit" can be slang for handgun.
Certain it means a Plop eater.
Anyone figure out what a job biscuit is yet?
I have heard that the term originated from a Welsh mine in the 1860's and the miners would refer to their livelihood which not only provided money but the security of food. And thus the words job and biscuit quite naturally became obvious collocations for those particular people. I can only assume that Otley is in some way the distant relative of someone in this particular mining community and that the term has been passed on generation by generation.
Just typed this into Yahoo "what is a job biscuit?" and the top link is to this bloody forum pageNo bloody good, talk about chasing ya tail

It just sounds to me like the working man's equivalent of a woman's tea time natter or coffee house talk. The kind of thoughts and chats that men might have with each other on their work break over a biscuit.
Job Biscuit = Oh yeah I thought of something else. Maybe Okleys idea of 'food for thought.'
PS = post script, but on my businesses letters I write Doggie Dungger.wee.
Doggie dungger: No I dont.
