Fury did land a big shot, and Firtha was taking a lot of big shots, but not a particularly satisfying stoppage. It was more to the accumulation of punches, and the fact there was nothing on the line.

Fury's chin again has been shown to be a little suspect, but apart from the third a good fight for Fury.

Well that was entertaining. My Channel 5 went off after the first round and didn't come back on until the beginning of the 5th. The stoppage looked premature but I did miss 3 and a bit rounds so I don't know how badly Firtha was getting beaten. Thanks a lot Channel 5.

I was rowing and missed the first three rounds, four and five looked great though.

He is an exciting fighter to watch.

Good experience I think, he took some good shots and did what he had to do to win. It was a bit premature, but firtha did take a lot of punches. As fury said he wanted to take him out early for the fans, but that's what made it a good fight IMO. He will take a lot from this I think.

same here mate managed to get my bro to email me a stream but still missed 3rd and 4th rounds.

Looked a bit early to be stopped but Fury is definitely improving.

Mick Hennesy looks more ridiculous every time he's broadcast.

Missed a round with blackout then remembered 5 is available in hd and that was still available.

Can't help but like Fury but there's a distinct lack of talent.

But then again he is the only fighter with the physical stature to trouble a klitschko and for that reason I think he will fare better against them than those smaller guys who are much better technically.

So from now on I am in Team Fury ! Come on my son

I think he has some talent. He lacks polish but he's still just a kid in a weight class where fighters don't hit their primes until after 30.

If he continues to improve he will be a handful. David Haye wouldn't fair too well against him a year or so from now imo. He got caught today, but proved he has a chin and take adversity and come back.

    I like him a lot.

Agreed Bilbo he's doing the right thing for a young heavyweight fighter with not too much amatuer experience. I think fury is going places, can't wait for his next fight.

The guy is really improving he's got fast hands, his jab is much much better and a hard jab at that. He was nocking a guy who weighs 18 stone back every time he landed it. What that jab would have done to the smaller heavyweights is anyones guess.

But its great for channel 5 and for boxing that this is happening, apart from the blackouts! I was watching on Sky and nothing happend to me tho

I may be being a bit harsh just guess in back of my mind I don't see the talent that we saw in Haye, Hamed, Calzaghe and Khan to go on to be world beaters

then again with his size in the HW guess that more or less cancels it out. Valuev was shit but held title FFS

Anyway I'm behind him whatever so onward and upward

I think Fury is a steaming pile of horse shit, but he's a likeable guy.

Unfortunately, being the best boxer won't always equate to making the most money. Personality has as much to do with the business as skill, although some skills is desirable, and I think Fury has enough to get as far as Haye did, in as much as he can win until he faces a Klitschko, then gets demolished.
