Vic's contemporaries like Rios seem to think that he is fighting above his pay scale. The puncher's chance he has against a PBF type is slim to none and if ever, there is that possibility, it needs an intricate set up. Am I giving Floyd Jr too much credit here? Rightfully so!
More than just a one-two, does Ortiz have a three-punch or better combo in his arsenal? If no, then he is in for a severe beating... and since he already established "quit" in him from the Marcos Maidana fight, he probably will again. What Vic needs is to land a stealthy, but powerful right straight timed on Jr's shoulder roll. If he prepped this well through dilligence on "homework", then maybe he has a chance... cause this will put a wrench on the defense of Mayweather to maybe widen his "chance" window for winning to a few more. Scholars and afficionados place that window only at the early first four rounds... after that it will turn ugly in favor of Money May.
Even if he so loses tho' to this ATG boxer, the bottomline is that Vic "the terrible" will ride the sunset with pants bulging with dough! This thought bodes badly in disfavor to the mindset of an over-achiever. If one needs to stay hungry to win, he needs to clear the table from all niceties.
Will Victor Ortiz play safe ala Shane and Marquez, and trek the cerebral route in taking that huge pacheck and wisely putting it to good use?... Nah? How can it any other way then.... with both gloves blazing!
Floyd smells blood and administers a severe battering.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. by battery... inside 10!
