After see what Ortiz did to Floyd when he actually pressed there no way Floyd ever steps into the ring with Pacquiao. That fight is nothing more than a wet dream.
Seeing Ortiz's reaction, I'm convinced he already prepaid himself for being the loser.

^(TitoFan) This is exactly how i feel. My first reaction was "ORTIZ YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"
Larry Merchant isn't objective. He throws his opinions around too much. He mistreated George Foreman while he worked for HBO. He openly disliked Chris Byrd and Byrd called him out on it after one fight. He was more classy about it than Mayweather though. I always suspected Merchant was a high functioning drunk.
EDIT - I just wanted to add a couple of things to my mini-rant. I was disappointed in Mayweather's poorly worded, profane, explosion of voiced emotions. He and his side-kick should both be embarrassed, however, it was a build-up of frustration due to Merchant's past interviews with him and others.....and of course his closing monologues that irritate me. Merchant lost his cool too. If he had not said, "If I were 50 years younger I would kick your ass!" he could have turned to the camera and said something like, 'There is a perfect example of how being a multi-millionaire can't buy a person class, an education or even half a brain. He is clearly being overly defensive of his cheap shots, although legal, that finished the fight.'
I don't like Merchant and I always liked Mayweather but I saw a side of him I didn't like. He was winning and could have KO'ed Ortiz without the cheap shots and he would have looked much better in the long run. He had won every round.
As for Merchant, I think this was his last year and his retirement was way over-due. I got real tired of his attitude and opinions and always saying things like, 'This is another black eye in the dying sport of boxing. I'm Larry Merchant with HBO. Why hasn't he been fired? He runs down the only sport that keeps him paid.

If id have been butted like Floyd had, id have steamed in at the first open chance i had. Floyd did nothing wrong in my eyes.

But Mayweather should have at least respected the fans who paid to watch the fight. They wanted to see a fight, not a sucker punch from the self-proclaimed best boxer to an underdog idiot.
Oppps, my bad. Why am I even saying this? Floyd never respects the fans or anybody.
And why am I even bitching about this? I didn't pay to watch the fight ............ so just ignore what I said.

To be fair, Foreman who has boxed more than Merchant was awful and Merchant had far more insight than big George ever did. Proof that you don't need to lace up to commentate on a boxing contest.
Mayweather is a twat and that is a pretty much universal belief. Merchant doesn't butter up and good on him for having his integrity.

Using Foreman as an example ay?Why not just use Lennox Lewis!

Foreman is a terrible pundit so setting Merchant off of him is going to give you a false reading all day long.
Food for thought: Mayweather FIGHTS for a living and is one of the most fundamentally solid fighter of recent generations.
Larry Merchant TALKS for a living and he can't even get his facts straight... So what of integrity?![]()
Larry Merchant has never been wrong. Whats all this Merchant-bashing?
