Ortiz at 147 is a much more dangerous opponent than Marquez at 147 imo.
Ortiz was not doing ok before he got KTFO IMO.

By my count he only landed 29 clean punches in the fight (7 in the first, 7 in the second, 2 in the third and 13 in the fourth).

Mayweather landed 69 (10, 14, 17,2 which is more than twice as many as Ortiz in four rounds.

I have now watched the fight three times and he was completely out of his depth both mentally and physically from the off. The only good thing that I can say about Ortiz is that he seems like a really nice guy outside of the ring.

it depends what you see as doing ok, i dunno about stats but i dont think he was in the fight at all

and as the fight went on it was becoming easier and easier, in one way its good for Ortiz that it ended the way it did because now there is still that bit of uncertainty

has the fight gone on people would be talking about how easy it was for mayweather now

    i never

in fact i said mayweather would win by KO, I also said Ortiz had 4 rounds to KO him
Credit is due there for mentioning Round 4. Ortiz shot his load and then was knocked out in 4. Good point erics44.
