I used to get berated by my trainer and sparring partners for saying sorry when my punches would go below the belt etc These guys were also pro's and would ask me "why the fuck are you saying sorry?? It's a fight!"

...and that was just sparring..not the biggest fight of my life like Ortiz had on Saturday
Ortiz' toughness seems like a facade to me. He is all too quick to fall into smiles and niceness. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something phoney about him sometimes.
It plain and simple, he's a mug that didnt deserve to be in the same ring with Floyd. I said from the start he wouldnt last long, and Floyd would spark him when ever he wanted to, and he did.
He was an over-hyped plank, and still is!
He also has one of the stupidest hair styles I have ever seen. Kissing a fighter AND that hair. He will be wearing fishnets next.

Ortiz was out of his depth with Mayweather, he also did not have the bad attitude to make it interesting. Remember when Hatton and Floyd stood toe to toe at the weigh in, that is what you call passion. I believe it is important not to be intimidated by this at the pre-fight and that it is important for the fighter to show strength that they will not be intimidated. Hopkins would not have allowed it neither would Eubanks.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
