Why would Murray get the fight coming off a loss?
Why would Murray get the fight coming off a loss?
If the plan is to resurrect Murray's career this move is an 'interesting' decision.
He got battered by Kevin Mitchell, I can't for the life of me work out how his team think this is a good idea for a comeback fight.
I can only presume he's planning on retiring in the next six months and wanted to finish it off with a trip to the US and a semi decent payday.
If you get a shot at a world title you gota take it. But I agree could hardly be against a worse opponent for Murray or at a worse time for Murray. It'll be a fun undercard fight while it lasts, just like the Antillon fight, but it ends much the same; Murray asleep inside 3.

I think Rios could take Mitchell, Murray and Molina on the same night
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
GOod news.. Rocky MArtinez declined the Rios fight so he's outa the picture and we dont have to see that bum fight.
Murray is a tough man and will give his all. This is a big opportunity for him which he probably would not have expected. He will be fully motivated to get the win and show everyone how good he really is. Go Murray, it would be great if he can pull this off!
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Accoring to Brandon Rios, he was meant to be fighting Kevin Mitchell but Mitchell can't travel because of his ongoing 'legal issues' which makes sense actually.
Murray has not got a chance. He has the british record for most fights undefeated, but when you build your career on fighting nobodies that isnt that difficult. The only thing he has on his side is his fitness and the ability to take a punch which may not be as good after the beating he got in the Mitchell fight.
On the upside I will say good for him, taking on a challenge. It may have taken 30 fights to take on good oposition but he got there in the end.
