Do boxers fight for fans?

Being a boxer is a career, a way for them to support their living. I don't believe anyone would do that as a hobby ........ unless they're a sadist/masochist.

The only way I see him fighting for the fans is if he has the option of two fights with almost the same risk, career advancement opportunity and monetary reward. Then, maybe, he'll go for what the fans are clamoring for.

So no-one does boxing as a hobby? that rubbish there are lots of people that go training and sparring to keep fit...

We are talking about professional boxing in here.

For someone who does it for training and sparring to keep fit, would there be any fans involved? Look at the title of this thread ......

Yes I know I started it but you went off saying no-one would do it as a hobby, im saying they DO.

If there is any fan involvement then we are dealing with boxers here who does it as a sport? Not those who only do it for training and sparring to keep fit. I didn't completely close out the possibility that some might do it as a hobby hence the statement "unless they're a sadist/masochist". And the statement I made above is an opinion, not a fact, hence the word "I don't believe ....".

Now, do you know of any boxer who does it for a hobby?
