They guy had some talent... but was lacking in the bollocks department when it counted, laughing to the bank I guess.

he had some talent - you can't deny that

Too short a career and too few fights. More interested in money than legacy, how many fights was it 25-26 ? Thats pathetic

Can't believe he is not at least going to give it one more go and just take a gamble in the ring with them.

I fear we will never know how good the Klitschkos are in all-time terms. Their size advantages are just too great to properly judge them I feel.

We should all get behind Tyson Fury. At least then we won't be able to moan that they always beat up little guys.

sadly i think he goes in the same category as Henry Akinwande Frank Bruno and Herbie Hide as Brits who have held a portion of the Heavyweight Championship.

I get the feeling that if the Klitschkos werent around Haye wouldnt have retired. That tells its own story

Haye would have been remembered fondly had he not had his last fight. That 1 loss seems to have detracted from his whole career. Its the wrong way to go out IMO but thats his choice and if people remeber him alongside Audley then so be it. If he went out swiging vs Vitali he would have redeemed his rep somewhat.

Yes, it totally detracts from an ancient retired Ruiz and Audley Harrison. That entire loss seems to have overshadowed the previous scams.

    Good!

Hayes only reason for going to heavyweight was Klitschko v Sanders. He thought he could be as aggressive. He found out he couldnt and has no desire to fight any other of the top heavies, as although mediocre they would beat him too. Adamek beats him, or would have if Haye wasnt such a pussy.

Yeah his heavyweight career was crap and he never excited at the weight but he was good at cruiser. I'd say best ever behind Holyfield.

If we are getting into P4P listing's then I will nod my head and doze off. James Toney would have thrashed him.

I never bought the hype, he could be compared to Hamed but hell that's a stretch....Haye was just a big mouth, all hat and no cattle trying to be a cowboy.

    I told ya so!

well life goes on. I couldn't care less about what he does, I'd just see him fight Vitali because his childish behaviors got under my skin and I'd like to see him knocked out but beside, he didn't deliver and didn't bring on the table any words that were in his mouth. By David, fake or real retirement, we couldn't care less.
