That's really disappointing because I actually found him very entertaining in the Olivera fight.
I just can't forgive a fighter for doing that. I takes the esscence out of boxing and makes you worry about other guys doing it as well.
I agree essentially but it should be noted that those were the closing seconds of the 12th round, it was in Denmark, and 6 years ago.. I don't think he threw the fight really, he just couldn't win rounds and wanted to get it over with and not hear the decision is my guess. You have to assume he had some issue that night, because noone else has ever stopped him and he's fought alot of good fighters anywhere any place, and always comes to fight.
Exactly, he just decided to end the fight on his own because it was obvious he wasn't going to win so he didn't "throw" the fight
And besides considering what he's done since then its irrelevant since he didn't throw that fight, he was already going to lose so he took an opportunity to end the fight on his own. So no he didn't "throw" the fight, and don't act like he's the first to end a fight that way.
