Luis Collazo had em out on his feet, pretty much took him to hell and back during Hatton's prime although we can argue that 147 wasn't his best weight. Many people, including me, thought collazo won that fight..

PAcman beats any version of Hatton.. On a sidenote, I think 147 not being hatton's best weight was just an excuse cuz it's easy to say something like that after you lose. Regardless, I dont see hatton giving pacman any kinds of problems at any given time.

His whole game is to throw one punch and fall into a clinch and pacman would always have had an easy time catching him..

i would like to point out that the hatton floyd fought was not a prime hatton, i say around the time he fought tzu he was good, after it seemed he let his ego get to him and may have partied a bit to much for the caliber fighter he is, i say the fight is a war, because were talking at 140, i say very very competitive match

The only reason Hatton wasn't prime against Mayweather was cuz none of his uncles (Dave Paris and Mickey Vann) were involved in the fight. Without them Ricky Hatton is Matthew Hatton

This is the time Hatton was at his peak, against Kostya, after this he went down hill in self indulgence, personal problems and in camp problems.
Still Hatton would of been competitive for at least another couple of rounds, but his style played into Pac's hands perfectly, and it would only be a matter of time before the result was what actually happened. He was far more focused and competitive against Floyd, against Pac he was a lost soul.

Have many great memories watching Hatton on the rise and when he was champion , lovely lovely guy and a very good fighter , but Pac man is on a different level , would be same result , a very bad KO win for Pac Man early.

If hatton could take the right hands flush from Tszyu then he could take the power punches of Pac Man too.

I agree with that if it was a war he would win on the night.

I also agree with he had Tszus number that night.

But i got a theory and Im sticking to it. Kostya was feeling great and he was talking up this fight saying he'd fight the fight Hatton wanted and test him out etc. We all saw a war style fight that night.
I recon when its a real war, you see shots coming even though you get caught with them but your not fukkin movin cause you both know its a war and a test of heart of determination.
Tszyu was made for Hatton by Tszyus own mindset months before the fight and the timing was perfect, he would have eventually won that kind of stalk and shoot fight against another doing the same that night even if Gus Mecurrio was reffing the fight in Melbourne.

Then theres all the mixes of other skills in fights in between pure boxing unorthodox moves to all out warfare, but when a fighter is thinking 'war I'll take it to this bastard" and a great boxer is skilled and cool enough to be more evasive then catches him blindsided as he is throwing it has a different effect on the brain.

Cause Manny slips out on more angles and runs around in a manic style he is hard to pin down by a stalker who likes hitting whats right in front of him.

I think Kostya fought the wrong fight but fought a very brave one and his ego got in the way of what he could of done instead and he was out gunned, I know he had better pure boxing skills in his earlier years, but maybe his legs were more suited to it back then .
Anyway he got beat at his own game and like he says, no excuses.

I honestly don't remember him taking many (if any) flush rights hands from Tszyu. Pacquiao's power punches were different because he walked on to so many of them.

Kostya started winning the fight in the early to mid rounds when he stared to find space. Tszyu then landed the right hands flush but Hatton started to close the gap again and wore down Kostya. I also agree Pac threw punches at angles so they would have a different effect on Hatton, but the shot that KOed Hatton should have been seen by Hatton.
