So martinez is a pound for pounder after paul williams win?
Paul deserves another chance, its unfair to dismiss him when guys like margacheato are still in the spotlight just cause he got a corrupt promotor.

Floyd Mayweather has two options with regards to getting a high income generating fight: it's either with Manny Pacquiao (provided he wins against Marquez) or Sergio Martinez. Who he fights first between the two (if he ever does that) will depend on who he thinks will be of less risk.

We all know that a fight with Pacquiao will get him the most money. Why would Floyd fight Martinez for less money if the risk of a loss is greater? If he does that, it's because he perceived Martinez as a lesser risk. Floyd may have seen flaws in Sergio that FinitoElDinamita saw.

I think that fighting Martinez is riskier so I believe the rumours are just that ...... rumours.

Why has Floyd avoided Cotto all these years?

Floyd would not dare, if he did then he truly would be a great to take someone as dangerous as Matinez.

After the forthcoming war with Margarito, if he wins, I'm sure the combined damage of all these wars will have taken their toll. I think you may then see Floyd fighting him.

Now that would be more likely.

Martinez had a bad defense last time out? I guess jumbo shrimp is not an oxymoron. If he was sweating out a close decision because of a bad performance, maybe. He knocked the guy out and almost in a brutal fashion. If the rumors are true about Floyd which I believe they are not then why a catch weight? I don't understand why one fighter has to have complete control of all the qualifications for a match that would be in his favor from the start. It isn't fair and the PACMAN is just as guilty. It's like a high class call girl saying no more than six inches or there will be a financial penalty. It's a fight, not car insurance with a deductible we can't afford to have a policy to protect us should we have an accident. Catch weights are deductibles and the win in my opinion by the one that sets it is not a true win but an opportunity to cheat the other guy.
