Floyd made a run to the top. He took the striaght line in which in your eyes, he duck and went around people. Yes he could have fought any other fighter. But the fighters he fought made the most cents for his run to the top.

Tell me, who and when did he duck anyone?
You know how people say negative things about Wladimir Klitschko or Vitali Klitschko but at the end of the day, they can't name one person that either of them should have fought and for whatever reason didn't? Well, for Floyd there are a number of people during the course of his rise in weight that he didn't face for whatever reason. It's not like he wouldn't have been the favorite in those fights either; it's just for whatever reason he didn't face them. Recently, it was Margarito and Cotto. I believe it was pure businessman/risk/reward decisions. Why fight them when you can fight Hatton and Baldomir for the same money? Still though, he didn't face them. It's the same for Calzaghe too. He could have come over to the US earlier and he could have faced Sven Ottke, but it didn't make as much sense when he was doing big things on the other side of the pond and so the reward wasn't worth the risk.
