Default Tyson Fury - Neven Pajkic fight thread

Next up for Fury an undefeated candian with the same record as his own 16-0.

Fightnews.com has both of their precomments to the fight...http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/pajkic-and-fury-final-words-101422

(on iPhone so don't know if that is coming up as a link?)

Fury is sounding confident as ever, but reading another thread I didn't like what I was reading about his precomments before the fight about him having problems? I hope this won't be a distraction to his peformance, because I am enjoying the Fury saga unfolding. Let's hope he puts on a good performance. I've read who he is fighting isn't very good. Not seen him myself so can't judge.

I just hope Fury gives the channel 5 viewers another good fight because I am enjoying seeing his career develop through channel 5. As I said before I hope he is fully focused and puts on a clinical performance.

Fury weighed in 257 and pajkic 232.

Eubank jr is on the undercard and Mick Hennesy reckons he's the best middleweight in the country without having a fight. So I am looking forward to seeing the start of his career.

Pajkic fucking sucks. I've seen him fight on tv a couple of times and was never impressed. From what I remember he's something of a swarmer. However, he has no power and he gets hit a lot. Should be easy work for Fury.

Loving having boxing back on regular TV again, which beats the badminton or whatever else that we have on terrestrial TV! Might even push Stricly Come Dunking off the box!

Pajkic is Canadian champ, surely he's half decent?

Any Canadians is your national title regarded? Is it considered as prestigious as the British belt is over here? (trying to ask that without sounding like a dick)

    I'm Canadian.

From what I've seen Pajkic couldn't beat a half-decent domestic-level British fighter. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to name a single heavyweight off the top of my head that I think he could beat.

I can't speak for those who actually box, but to the common or even hard-core sports fan in this country, holding a Canadian title is basically meaningless.

Outside of Montreal and maybe some immigrant populations, boxing is a fringe sport in this country. I'd wager 999 out of 1,000 Canadian sports fans couldn't tell you who Pajkic is.

Cool reply thanks. He is a lot smaller than fury, i will be very surprised if it goes beyond 4. He has talked a good fight but so did Haye before Klitschko

Good to see that Fury is staying busy if anything.

It will come in time, this is a keep busy fight for Fury which is better than not fighting at all. Won't be long till he moves up the ranks, he's done a lot for a 23 year old heavyweight these days and so far I am impressed with his progress. If he has more fights like this all he needs to do is be impressive and really get the UK domestic television viewers on his side. He will be building a strong fan base and this is what he needs to help him get to the top. He's the only British heavyweight I have interest, because he has character and has performed with it and I love seeing that in a fighter. No other British heavyweight brings as much excitment as Fury does, I can't wait to see him back tomorrow.

If by 'pass' you mean get brutally knocked out within 2 rounds, then yes, he would pass the Fraudley test..
