Heard a rumor (don't know if it's true)

I hear that for diesel vehicles, you can buy this computer chip device that plugs into your cigarette lighter, and you can program it to give the engine more horsepower and better gas mileage. Does anyone know anything else about this? Do they work? If so, where can I find one?

just a basic computerised engine tuner and diagnostic,they cost about 10 grand.You can get mobile tuners to come round and do your motor for a substantial fee.Nothing mechanical is actually changed,it's all done by tweaking the engines computer control system.
It's not just diesels either!
