Default Amir Khans view on Manny pacquiao...

Just reading fightnews and reading amir khans views on Manny pacquiao and advising him on retirement. Is it just me or is Amir being a bit of a dick to manny? He also said that he would beat Amir? Why is he saying this to him and about him? If that was my friend saying that to me, I personally don't think I would be his friend anymore...

Think Amir is a bit rash with these comments, no doubt what so ever manny is still one of the best fighters around and no doubt he would still knock out Amir. Manny still has a lot to offer to boxing and IMO still offers one of the biggest threats to Mayweather.

I think Amir should show manny a bit more respect, way out of line these comments IMO.

Khan is just trying to talk his way into a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao.

Pacquiao's team certainly seems to have lost interest in fighting Floyd after his performance against Marquez, so I think Khan is just being opportunistic.

I don't like the son of a bitch but if he does think he is getting the better of him, maybe he is trying to make the fight.

Khan beats him (I doubt it will happen!!) he becomes huge in boxing, multi million £$£$£ fights after it.

I think they are only poor comments if you take away the context in which the comments were said. On paper they look poor, but in actual fact they're responses to questions.

After commentating on the fight and objectively scoring the fight in Marquez's favour, he can hardly say Pacquiao deserved to win anyway. And he is completely right (and Manny would most likely agree) - if he were to fight as poorly as that against Mayweather, he would lose badly.

Khan said Pacquiao should retire 'if his out of the ring commitments are distracting him inside the ring' and again, he is correct.

I have already posted that Pacquaio was lacklustre and look well off his game against Marquez. This was largely due to Marquez himself who fought his best fight since fight 2 against Pacquaio. I have no doubt Marquez really lifted himself for this fight, however he did expose us all to some doubt over Pacquaio going into 2012. The Pacman's next fight will tell the story of where he's at, i'm not sure he really wants another Marquez fight (overkill?)
Floyd is sitting back and just waiting for the many wars of Manny Pacquaio to take it's toll.
Amir Khan is circling like a vulture nearby, he better be careful, he might bite off more than he can chew.

Khan lacks skill and excitement, he hasn't done enough to have the mouth he has.
The reason he wants floyd is his low work rate only, bertowould demolish khan

I never thought Khan had an IQ above that of an earth worm, and try not to listen to anything he has to say. I look forward to seeing someone do another "Prescott" on his ass.

I just feel he is in position to say that to Pacquiao and I feel that he has majorly disrespected Pacquiao. I think Freddie should be annoyed with him too, what Pacquiao has achieved in the ring Is outstanding.

Just because he should have lost to Marquez who he in the past has proved to be Pacquiaos toughest opponanent why does that all of a sudden mean he has to retire? There is no doubt in my eyes that Pacquiao would do a number on so many top ranked fighters around these days Khan included. Just because Khan is saying he might get the upper hand in sparring how does the merit Khan thinking he would beat Pacquaio in a fight? I would love to see Khan survive with Pacquiao with 8oz gloves and no head gear...

He said that if Pacquiao's out of the ring distractions are effecting his in the ring performances, then he should retire. I don't think that's disrespectful.

He said that as well as saying he's not good enough and saying that he would beat him. All round low blow to Manny IMO. Fair enough he said he lost because Khan is telling the truth but to say that he would beat him and he should retire due to the performance is bullshit IMO. who's Khan? Mannys future advisor? I dont think so...
