Didnt you start a thread titled whats your favourite video game?
Video games has been proven to be beneficial in terms of improving hand-eye coordination in kids and stimulating the brain.
    Whats your point?
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

It's much better and beneficial than reality tv shows.

Is it? Does your sister have any data on the benefits of switching your brain off for an hour and watching a trashy TV show?

When you say its much better and beneficial, you actually mean its better right?

A good game is obviously quite superior to "I'm a washed up old git, watch me suffer". Games offer a level of interaction and have plotlines and stories. Or if not with a story at least offer mental stimulation in the way of interaction such as the Fight Night games.

Much better than watching dumb people doing dumb things with no degree of interaction or thought. Reality TV is utter nonsense.

Grown men sitting alone playing video games for 'interaction and mental stimulation' is good, but a family chilling out for an hour, disengaging the brain and watching some z listers make fools of themselves is bad?

Im sorry Miles, I'd rather interact with real people watching daft people do daft things than sit alone staring at a video game for entertainment.

And I dont even watch Im a celeb.

Fatima won the bush tucker trial and the camps merged Sanita spent the night stood up in the cave and Jimmy G Pat Sharp tried to get her to take her clothes off to bloke the cockroaches from getting into the cave and Willy and Stephanie went into the dunny together and the mic picked up sex noises

The only way to justify watching washed up minor celebs suffering is if you feel superior to them yourself. "Haha, look at him eating snake". Well, I would choose not to do that because it is manipulative and base.

In that sense I am not righteous at all. I cast judgement, but this kind of TV is TV of the gutter and serves no greater purpose than some silly person everyone has forgotten get a book deal. And so their next 3 year plan is solved.

It's horrid really. It is a bunch of lost people looking for last attempts at prolonging their C rated careers.

What's the point? I don't think there is one beyond getting a bunch of washed up people more widely seen.

The people watching shoving crisps down their throat need to get a grip because their country is falling into the toilet and they are watching Lionel Blair vomit on a spider.

It's an image I struggle to reconcile.

I hate to repeat myself Milo but I fail to see how a guy sitting alone playing video games is OK but a family sitting down for an hour, interacting and having a laugh at some z lister doing something daft is bad?
