That the in the time leading up to WW2, Hitler had signed a peace treaty with Stalin to keep the peace between the two nations while Hitler was preparing to invade the west.

The treaty specified that Stalin would not become involved in Hitlers affairs in regards to political intervention
(Although, i think i recall reading about some kind of arms trade leading up to the war)

Anyway, Hitler then had a bout of paranoia and invaded the USSR :
Which, i beleive ultimately lead to Hitlers demise.



A question id like to ask is do you think world war 2 could of infact became a 3 party war... With the USSR actually preparing for a war and moving in on Germany to expand its own empire knowing that Hitler was fearfull of a war on two fronts?

And for that matter, im gald Hitler acted first.... Following the war, it is clear that the US has became the most benificial nation due to its financial influence and arms trade and developement post war.... however Americas obssesion with the former USSR's arms status through the mid to late 20th century leads me to believe that America were more than aware that although USSR was an allied nation, they were in no way in debt to the USA after the war (like the UK has been ever since) and there seemed to be no need for the USSR to be in co-operation with the US.

This is why the US pushe for the a European Union and also spread propaganda about communist nations (although many commie nations didnt do themselves any favours : )

I am aware that it could hve easily been the USSR who became the dominate figure to emerge from WW2 had they of acted aggresively to Hitlers requests. (So yeah Gogs, the French could be speaking Russian right now )

I also wonder about Hitlers true intentions of forming an Alliance with Italy...?

Did he really want them as allies?

Was there an underliying desire to quench the thirst of revenge that lead back as far as the Roman times?
