no... a fan boy is basically a nut hugger... you just seem to be a fan...
Thanks I am a fan only...LOL!!! I am aware of Lacy's defecienties and just hopeing he will have it in him to make adjustments he was mediocre at best against Calzaghe....I have been following him for quite a few years before anyone knew who he was and I just loved to see the ferocious punching power but you cant get by on just that..

    1) Jab
    2) headmovement
    3) defensive improvements
    4) refine boxing skills

He will be fine, time will tell ultimately

All the hype that surrounded Lacy was pathetic... in reality Lacy brought absolutly nothing to the fight with Calzaghe, other than a win over a SHOT` Robin Reid and a over the hill Vanderpool, Calzaghe never made tomato can opponents look that bad.. guys like Pudwill, Ashira, Salem, Jimenez, Starie, Ferraya, Reid etc all done far better against Calzaghe than Lacy did.... was it that Calzaghe was so good or that Lacy was so bad?...

He will most likely take on a Shieka'esk apponent in order to see where he stands... the contender people(whom he still has a contract with) are telling him who and when he can fight... they prob dont want him in with dangerous opposition so it doesnt make "the contender" look like a sham...

after a spina or shieka fight i guarentee all u nay sayers that he will step up his comp to a froch or a green even poss catching lacy honeing his new techniques... not one of u have ever even SEEN him fight prior to the contender(maybe im wrong but most of u)... I live in RI and have been watching him since he was fighting in the nationals against taylor(taylor beat him twice i think...and didnt see that fight but just giving the timeframe)... saw him fight @ foxwoods on multiple occations thats why I was so excited when he was on a nationally telivised show... He didnt look like himself in any of the fights... he looked unfocused and rattled... it irritated me cuz thats not him... roach didnt teach peter much he didnt already know but taught him how to implement them...shortened his punches...fients... and what have u. I dont know about kessler so i dont talk about him... i dont know about beyer so i dont talk about him... everybody seems to think they know this kid cuz they saw him fight like 4 times... and in 5 round bouts when he was used to 10 and 12... I love u guys but u amaze me sometimes with how fickle u can be... you cant judge without seeing the whole picture and u havent... I even havent but more so then many of u therefore i can compile an educated oppinion..................

He will be a top tier fighter (top five) in the SMD in the next 3 years

You seriously look for me whenever you post, Dont you

Well as much as I like what you had to say, here is my return.....

For all of those folks looking at Froch....Forget him, he is nothing but a hyped up stepping stone for someone to squash and look good doing it...And when it happens, all of you that cut me down after saying it will owe me a CC.....

    Next.....

Here are some opinions of mine on this division...

Well, JC will be there for a while...He is stronger than he looks and not afraid of anyone that wants to test him on that fact...

Lacy, well, I think he would be much better off fighting at Middle(Though I wouldnt recomend) or even take a chance at Light heavy...His speed is a little off for Super Middles atm....

Alan Green....All I can say about this guy is this, He is strong, He is fast and last but not least, he has POWER!!! Super Middles, take heed, this is the way you are supposed to be at this weight class.....10 more fights for this guy and I feel he will be all you hear about in this division...

Mikkel Kessler....Well, if he didnt fight 98% of his fights in Denmark and maybe if he would add a few notable wins to his record, maybe,,,,But I would not bet on him right at this moment...

ALSO, alot of his fights were at Middle, so I would like to see more at super-middle with notable wins...

As for Manfredo....I am not even going back to the discussion about this kid....

Here is the way you test Manfredo...Put him in with Lacy...Then Alan Green...And if he makes it past them, give him a shot at JC....

As for any other solid prospects in the Super Middle class,,,I just dont see any....
Kessler did fight The Ring`s #3 abroad and won very easily - it was his very first defence so do not say that he is not ready to fight abroad. When he defeated Siaca it was not his fight - he took the fight with 9 days notices as Mads Larsen, his senior ranked partner, got injured in the US working with McGirt.
    As for Mikkel Kessler....

I dont give a S*** what people say about him, I dont see this kid lasting 5 rounds with any of the people I listed in my previous post....This kid has nothing impressive to show and I dont see a great future for him in the weight division....

For those fixxing to freak about that statement....Look at it from this angle....

If the promoters from the USA liked what they see in Kessler, dont you think he would have had a few more fights in the USA with Notable opponents

The reason it hasnt happened is because he doesnt have anything to offer...And thats the truth....

Within the next year here is your Top 3 Fighters in the Super Middle Division....

    1- Joe Calzaghe
    2- Allan Green
3- Jeff Lacy(Depending on how his next fight goes)

Top 10- Peter Manfredo Jr.( I put this here for PRIDE)!!!!

There is no other fighters in that division I see right now that even make a ripple in any of these top three fighter's pond!!!(I wrote this to stir up something!!!)

    Good Luck!!!

The Super Middleweight division - isn´t that what us-fans named the Lacy-division?

So US don´t have any sm´s the could take on Calzaghe, that doesn´t mean no one can

if uu have been watching boxing for long enough and understand it, one defeat on your record doesnt mean you are no longer the future of the division.

Lacy was just another example of America's desperate "search for the next Mike Tyson". People have to realize that there was only one Mike Tyson and that it may be a long time before we get someone remotely similar. Even before Lacy fought a live body people were already talking him up as a carbon copy of Tyson, but of course real boxing fans knew he was indeed far too slow, clumsy and lacking the key fundamentals that made Tyson successful; handspeed, ingenious combinations, highly explosive footwork, and speed. Lacy had none of these, but the fact that his style resembled a (very) poor man's Tyson, combined with his nearly perfect record (outside of one NC) caused him to be hyped to ridiculous proportions.

So Jeff is probably the best example of an overrated fighter from the past several years...and that is very unfortunate, because he is a nice guy and a decent fighter, and really doesnt deserve the backlash that he's been getting ever since Calzaghe pasted him

What backlash is that Junior 1 loss does qualify him to go bagging groceries and then should jump off a bridge ..I mean please buddy remove head from ass then post really..What makes Lacy good is that he is humble and willing to learn he has a good team around him..Lacy is relentless and has a huge heart and a Granite chin and Helacious Punching power despite the beating he took he never took a step back he fought and came forward 3minutes a round for 12 rounds he has the heart of a champion and will be one again...You cant learn those qualities you are born with them...You can learn to jab, Box and be a better defender...

Your right Lacy is NO Tyson.......As much as I loved watching Mike He had no heart and always faded in the Face of adversity he quit when he was getting beat and looked for a way out.....Lacy has heart and desire like a true warrior Though he lost he never looked for a way out never looked to his corner to stop the fight...He persevered and will live to fight another day...
