That is a matter of opinion though. I would say Chavez was never quite the same fighter post Rosario in (87). By the time he moved up to 140lbs and beat Mayweather he was clearly past his best, but he was such a special fighter he kept some kind of form all the way though to de la Hoya (fight 2) in 1998!
