Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
If, like some have stated, boxing is the only sport ya interested in then it's probably a good buy, but if like myself ya watch other sports which Sky cover and have the monoply of then the is no way im paying extra for things that can be streamed or burnt off the next day.

i watch boxing and football and im considering getting rid of skysports and getting boxnation
thing is there are lots of live football games on normal tv, i might even enjoy them more as there isnt as much saturation with sky too
and if there is a big fight on sky i can watch it round my mates
think about that?

Hi Mattyhitman,
I'm afraid without the subscription service we would not be able to continue to offer the premium content broadcast by BoxNation. As for a Christmas pressie, subscribers will have access to all these exclusive features:
- Access to exclusive live fights
- Expert commentary
- Behind the scenes footage including weigh-ins and press conferences
- The ability to view past fights and well known classic fights
- Exclusive newsletter from Frank Warren
Hope this helps, thanks for the feedback!

Do I subscribe through you or through Virgin? Do I get any discount/incentive if I do it earlier?

Dear Boxnation
I was very impressed with the Boxnation channel content up until now and fully intended to purchase access to the channel for December based on the fights being offered. What particularly attracted me was the ability to decide month by month whether i could afford the £10 for that month's fights. So imagine my surprise when i went to the Boxnation website and found that to subscribe there is now a minimum contract of 6 months!
"Just £10 a month and a minimum contract 6 months. Simple."
I think you have now cut yourself off from a large percentage of the boxing viewing public a huge proportion of which could be identified as the casual market. What if your venture fails and with in 6 months you do not exist? I thought your business model was an alternative to Sky Sports and the now defunct Setanta, it seems i was wrong. I like many, am on a very tight income and can not commit to 6 months in advance. Looks like i am going to miss out on Cotto-Margarito.![]()
Yep the six month contract part discouraged me too. I realise you don't have to pay the full six months in advance, and for Sky viewers the money is taken on a monthly basis through paywizard (why it cannot be paid via a regular DD or on the Sky bill like other subscription channels, I don't know) but I must admit to not being overly keen on promising money for Jan/Feb where there are traditionally very few fights occuring.
I expect those months will feature a couple of domestic cards featuring Warren's usual suspects in low risk fights against limited opposition (DeGale vs TBA, Enzo vs TBA), Bunce ranting on for an hour every week and the same recorded fights repeated over and over. For me, that just isn't worth even a tenner. Who knows where fights like Alexander/Maidana and Berto/Ortiz II will end up. Sky could well be in for them, especially considering they both feature potential future opponents for Khan and Brook. I would certainly like to find out before I hand over my money, and not work on the assumption that BoxNation will pick them up. Sky could pluck all these Golden Boy or Top Rank cards for an insignificant loss (for them) and kill BoxNation if they wanted to. And it wouldn't take long either.
I understand BoxNation's eagerness to generate guaranteed capital and its requirement in order to go for these decent foreign cards. However, there are no guarantees and without the option of ordering the channel month-by-month with the prior knowledge of what will be shown, I won't be ordering at all. Although I may reassess in April/May time, should the channel still be in existence by then.
With a month-by-month option, BoxNation would have perhaps got £30 from me over the next six months. As it is, they will get nothing. Reading around, it seems many people share the same view.
I ordered it last night lookin forward to cotto mar 24/7 tonight
Anyone who does not have sky sports should subscribe to it, as have I. I saw the Cotto v Margarito 24/7 and hyped up for this fight. I have got mine though virgin and have said I can quit after a month.

I was all up for ordering the channel straight away but the 6 month contract has put me off a bit. Im now in limbo about it! Not that it's too much money, it's not bad value if it's guaranteed quality, just a bit worried that once I've signed up the fights won't be great, and I'm stuck paying £10 a month!! The choice of cancelling at any time would be more appealing to me.
