I for one am not convinced the result would have been the same had it not been for the injury

And it was a decent fight, no where near as good as the first but very watchable

It wasn't even close to being the same as the 1st fight, Miguel Cotto pitched a shut out and never looked in trouble in any of the rounds.

This, I suspect many(myself included) just couldn't shake the idea that Cotto started out fighting the same way and were waiting for Margarito to catch up to him again. It didn't and wasn't going to happen this time and Margarito should retire if he values his sight whatsoever as that eye is completely fucked.

Much like Barrera with Morales, Cotto now feels he has gotten revenge and the upper hand and he'll never fight Margarito again.

This, I suspect many(myself included) just couldn't shake the idea that Cotto started out fighting the same way and were waiting for Margarito to catch up to him again. I was rooting for Miguel Cotto but i also had an axious feeling, when watching the fight because i felt Antonio Margarito could start getting to him. But his punches didn't have the same effect and everyone can make there own mind up about that.

Yesterday was a sad night.. He can always tell his grandkids and he made a prime undefeated Cotto quit on his knees though, that's a big accomplishment right there.

Meh, people are making more out of the eye than it was even imo. Not in terms of health wise for Margarito, but as far as the effect it had on the outcome last night... Tony wasn't landing all that much at all in the early going as he did (which people seem to forget) in their first fight and actually had arguably his best round in the 9th when it was swollen shut. Fact is the guy has lost a step and with pressure fighters like that it's usually all it takes before they are Tofu.

most sportswriters had Margarito as the favorite, hell even HBO had him as the favorite
