I think oddly enough that this puts a Pavlik-Taylor III match on the cards as I (among others) think JT took the second fight from Kelly.
Kelly is 100% finished as an elite fighter

I remember feeling Taylor did enough as well, but I've only watched that fight live the one time and it was in a bar.. If both guys look anything but finished a rubber match would definetly make sense imo, but I'd be a bit worried about JT facing anyone who can punch at this stage.
I thought Kelly easily won that by at least a few rounds. I'd prefer to see Kelly Pavlik versus Arthur Abraham. However, what's more likely than either is that his next significant fight assuming he gets that far will be Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at a catchweight. I agree though he's done as an elite fighter. I'll tune in for his next fight before I make a final decision but it's clear everything points in that direction. Frankly, as much as I was a fan, Jermain Taylor is done as an elite fighter too.
Much like Pavlik, JT being "done as an elite fighter" is 100% his own doing. JT should have never allowed himself to be hit so often. JT is a middleweight Riddick Bowe, he has height, reach, and a great jab, but he ALWAYS gave it up whether because he was lazy or because he was just dying to be a brawler he fought in a tactically idiotic manner.
I remember JT at his best vs Raul Marquez....JT would attack and circle before Marquez even thought of returning fire. JT boxed beautifully in that fight. Shortly there after he began loading up on the right cross trying to be a KO puncher....he just abandonned his technical ability which had he used vs Kelly he may have stopped him, he probably could have stopped Hopkins had he been smarter too. JT was extremely good for 1 second and then everything fell apart for him.
I feel bad for Loew watching this, Kelly's career is probably done by though now anyway for whatever it's worth.
