He doesn't have to be Mayweather. He's better than post-Pavlik Jermain Taylor, and Taylor was heading to a clear UD if he could have stood up for 3 more minutes.
That's your best argument, If Taylor hadn't gotten KTFO by Froch in a fight over 2 1/2 years ago he would have won a UD? Too fucking funny.

BTW, Jermain was only up on 2 of the 3 scorecards before he got wrecked, so it would have been a SD at best..
My bad on the UD/SD. Another argument might be last year's loss to Kessler, whom Ward beat handily. The LOL is the suggestion that one need be MAYWEATHER to beat Froch handily. Then again, it depends what you mean by "dominated." I don't think Ward is going to hurt him, but if he wins, say, 117-111, I'd say that qualifies...you win 75% of the rounds, you dominated your opponent.

Maybe I'm badly misreading this fight. We'll find out soon enough. It certainly wouldn't be the first time. But I don't think it's going to be close.
It doesn't take a Mayweather to beat Froch, what i'm saying is Ward ain't no Mayweather, and I don't get why some think he's so superior to Froch. Froch's only loss was to Kessler, but I thought the fight was a lot closer then what the scorecards said, it was close and competitive, and Froch gave a good account of himself. Kessler won, but he hardly dominated.

A clearcut decision is almost the same as dominating, clearcut meaning you clearly won at least 7 of the rounds (in a 12 round fight) on every scorecard... that's my take anyway.

I've been doing pretty good on my analysis of fights lately, I nailed Cotto vs. Margo II, and I thought Peterson would give Khan big problems. So maybe i'll be right about Froch vs. Ward, i've got Froch winning a SD, but i'll admit it might be wishful thinking.

Eddie Hearn reported Brook fight 1am, Froch ring walk 2.30.. much earlier than usual for USA fights.

I can stay up for this (if booze intake can be controlled - odds against ).

I have been waiting for this fight for a long time.

Froch has become one of my favourite fighters, but I think he's out of his depth here. Ward will butt, maul, and box (in that order) his was to a UD.

I hope Froch proves me wrong, he certainly has in the past.

I really want to watch this fight may listen to it on radio 5 and want Froch to win. If he does then he should be sports personality of the year. Why is Khan in it when Carl has done so much more.

A lot of folks thought that Peterson was out of his depth against Khan as well, but as it turned out he wasn't. I seriously don't get why Ward is regarded so highly or why Froch seems to be such a big underdog. I mean we are taking about Andre "can't crush a fucking grape" Ward here right?

It seems like a big part of the reason so many favor Ward in this fight, is comparing Froch's only loss to Kessler to Ward's foulfest/headbutt technical decision over him in Oakland, in front of his homies. And let's not forget that Froch's loss to Kessler was a close/competitive fight in Denmark.
I really don't see the fights with Kessler meaning jack shit.

Froch by SD, that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Just got done with bct this will be the first live fight I've seen in 10 Weeks. Hopefully, Ward doesnt try to play it too cautious. If that happens its gonna be interesting , Froch can hit harder. I wanna see a ko either way.

I wouldn't be all that surprised to see Froch get stopped. I don't think it's likely, but if Jermaine Taylor can put you on your ass, then Andre Ward can probably keep you there if he hits you with enough headbutts right hands.

If Froch wins tonight the people at the BBC sports personality of the year will have to hang their heads in shame for selecting Kahn over him. It is a joke especially since the nominations were announced after the Peterson fight.

The Cobra's reach advantage could be crucial. Ward I think expects Froch to bring it on early and go toe to toe. Froch lighter weight seems to indicate a different approach. I think McCracken instructs Carl to use his jab early in establishing a points advantage and to stop Ward from leading head first and cutting Froch. Second half of the fight as Ward slows then The Cobra strikes. Froch's not got as fast hands as Ward but throws from good unexpected angles. In close Frochs uppercuts could discourage Andre and after softening him up and slowing him down I think Froch Stops Ward late.

If this starts out as a jabbing war, it's not going to be Froch establishing a points advantage.

Froch isn't going to out-slick or out-box Ward, that's not his game. Ward likes to control/dictate the action, that's not something Carl can't afford to let him do. Froch needs to fight smart, but make a war of it, he's taller than Ward and got the edge in reach as well as power, make full use of it.
