Default Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to be?

I see a lot of posts by Hatton fans alluding to the next Hatton fight being in England. Why do you suppose THAT is? Hmmm.

After the Tzsyu fight in England, Hatton looked unbeatable. Now, after the Luis Collazo fight in the States, wel-l-l-l-l-l-l-l...... maybe not so much. So the question is: Where will Hatton's next fight be? Me thinks it should be in the States again. A perception has been formed. It needs to be either changed, or verified.

    What does everyone else think?

If hatton continues to fight in england than i dont give a shit that he beat tszyu, coz he wont rank in my books. Tszyu was a true champion, he fought guys in their backyards and ducked no body! Hatton on the other hand has ducked collazo now and looks like fighting at home again where he can have his wrestling and fouling ways.

Apparantly he's fighting Otkay Urkal on December 2nd.

Personally I think he's suffering from cold feet now. He stepped up, realised it was harder than he realised and has now sat back down again.

Urango holds a world title despite 'losing' to Ben Rabah. Personally I think if Ricky gets his way he'll probably go after him next. 4 world titles in 4 fights, probably a record even if the opponents have been generally pretty shite.

Amazing how hard we are on the poor boxers. Certainly there are new questions that Hatton must answer post-Collazo but still ... his choice not to rematch Collazo doesn't mean he's "running" from him necessarily. Though personally I'd like to see the rematch.

I don't think it is unimportant where Hatton fights next, but I certainly don't agree that it is more important than who he fights by a long stretch.

im sticking up for ricky here people, so he didnt opt to fight collazo again, even if he offered him a rematch its forgivable, hatton has always said because of the way he fights he wont have a long career so avoiding anouther war with some1 hes already beat{and yes i no how close it was} is understandable. and as for his nxt fight being in england NO CHANCE. he wants the big stages. hes even considering giving up his belt so he dosent have to fight otkay urkel, cos ricky and his team dont see him as a worthy fighter or fighter thta will help him achieve the legendary status he wants. yes im a ricky fan and im not tryin to say hes unbeatable but hes a warrior an entertainer and above all a true gentlman

Well what other reason is there for not fighting him?

Personally I think it's dishonourable. Every top fighter offers a rematch when it's a really close fight, Morales Pacquio. Taylor Hopkins, Berrara Juarez, Spinks Judah, Holyfield Lewis, Mosely De La Hoya Williams Skelton ( ) and loads others.

The only people who don't give rematches are slimbeballs like De La Hoya.

Baldomir is exempt from this as Judah was a complete cock towards him so deserved to have his belt snatched away and jetted back to Argentina.

But Hatton is supposed to be a man of honour. He got beat last time out, everybody knows it. So be a man and give the champ a chance to level the score.

The Hitman went way down in my estimation after that fight.

He is fighting in the US. The next 2 fights t least are in Boston. That's what he said pre-Collazo.

I think you're undermining Hatton's cause with this comment. Think of the fighters that have offered rematches after winning wars. Castillo-Corrales jumps to mind. You don't win new fans by "avoiding a second war" with someone, especially when the decision was so controversial.

hes only got 5 or 6 fights left in him, and will be remembered a betterfighter for beating other champions or big names rahter than a second fight with collazo. you may feel golden boy is a slime bag but he is a legend and will be remembered for that more than anything. like i said rickys far from old but cant continue to box on the way he does for to long,it takes its toll. so ithink go for it ricky shoot down as many as ya can before its to late

If you don't fight the best, you can't expect to be considered the best.

fair comment but collazo aint the best, like i said hes desperate not to fight urkal. i reckon a fight with castillo could well get talked up dwn at light welter if he cant fight the best at welter. all he cares about is big fights not belts. i do feel theres a brither future for him at light welter, he will struggle to bully and wear dwn the welter weights. do u agree with me on this? i mean the light welter division is brightening up u got castillo sooner rather than later corrales , and my dark horse stevie johnstone, speaking of him do ya think hel whoop harris tonight? I DO

Excuses excuses. Hatton has never been in a war. Only down once in his career against Eamon Magee, Collazo was his hardest fight.

Look at Coralles and Gatti. They've had more shit knocked out of them than you would get from an elephant enclosure in a month, and people love them for it.

Hatton is a blood and guts type warrior who doesnt want the blood and guts fights.

It's dishonourable to not give Collazo a rematch.

All this bullshit about him not having the luxury of time is just stupid. Like all the other fighters do right?

Is that a joke? please tell me thats a joke.

Rematching Collazo wont cut it with HBO, neither will Urkal hopefully. Im sure he will fight in the States, who he fights is a different matter. We are all too impatiant and should wait for the announcement to come, he isnt fighting until December so as long as he knows by September that will leave enough PROPER preperation time.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
