    Default Cotto VS JMM

Assuming that Cotto can still go down in weight to say 144 which may be tough for him but if he could what do you guys think about a fight with JMM based on both their last performances??

I dont think Cotto can make the weight, but if he can i would like to watch it. They both looked good last time out, but i think the size might be a little to much for JMM. The way he countered Pac all night long though, i wouldnt count him out.

I don't think Cotto can make that weight, if he could make it with out being drained then it will be a good fight. Cotto might be a little too strong for JMM and JMM doesn't have the power to keep Cotto away. But you can never count a smart fighter out Marquez might just box and counter all night.

Marquez would outbox him easily.. Ive been talking about this fight with my Rican buddy for years now and he even admits it..

It'll be a good fight for the first half of the fight. But Marquez will make whatever adjustment necessary and proceed to break him down. Stopping him in 10. Cotto is a good fighter. Marquez is a great fighter.

The JMM that came in against Pac looked like he could carry alittle more weight on his frame, biggest I have ever seen JMM while still looking pretty ripped, can he be effective at 147??

I think JMM can outbox Cotto but with the power Cotto carries I think he can knock JMM down early in the fight but the longer that the fight goes I see that benefitting JMM although I dont htink he would have the power to take out Cotto maybe a late stoppage on cuts for JMM or SD victory

Can someone ban this stupid f'in spambot livestreamsports??

I think this is a very interesting fight. Marquez just nicks it in terms of boxing skills and brains. A lot of you are underestimating his power too. I think he could do some damage to Cotto if he catches him with those big counter shots and straight rights down the pipe.

I think you are right kind of. I dont think its necessarily that he has great power it just that his timing is perfect, his punch placement, and usually like you said its a counter shot that an opponent doesnt see coming

I guess I'm in the minority here but I think Cotto would beat Marquez by being physical with him and imposing his size.

Cotto would outbox JMM but would be crazy to try and go down to welterweight.

Outbox him? I think Cotto would win by size and strength but outbox?

You thought he looked like he could carry more weight? I found the disparity between his leg size and upper body a little wierd looking, so top heavy.

True but alot of fighters have very skinny legs, if he worked on getting his lower body bigger and stronger that is where the last 3 pounds could be made up.

Cotto is too big and too rough for JMM. JMM is great, but Cotto has a good style to handle him.
