Seriously. No doubt Chavez Jr. has been coddled and made more money than many fighters have with far less talent. However, it's not as bad as Tito and El Terrible point out. He has faced Molina twice and Zbik, both of whom are good fighters. The fights were close but Chavez Jr. was in tight with both opponent (pause).

I posted Dibella's opinion on the other thread about the WBC enforcing the title defense for Chavez Jr. against Martinez. Dibella reiterated multiple times that he would be open to working something out with Arum. Chavez Jr. facing an opponent in the Spring as long as he faced Martinez in the Fall or something of that nature. Frankly, a Martinez v. Chavez Jr. is a pretty big fight at middleweight even if Chavez Jr. is an underdog. There are only a handful of fights that are bigger really.

As between Rubio and Chavez Jr., I like Rubio, but I bet it's a fun fight to watch.

JCC Jr. is doing what his dad did...training on the job. Which is PRECISELY what I've criticized about both. If you don't want to have an amateur career, that's all well and good. But why pad your record with tomato cans for your 1st 40-some fights, so when people look at the numbers they say: "Duh-h-h.... gee whiz golly.... so-and-so won over 100 fights. He must be a boxing god or something." It's not real..... it's just a mirage. I dont think he had much of an amatuer background so of course he is going to fight lesser opponenets to start however I have never heard JCC Jr talking crap to anyone or considering himself to be P4P. Tito and ElTerrible hate on him because he's a bigger draw than most Puerto Rican fighters at this stage in his career that's purely debatable and subjective without ever facing top opposition THIS, however, is NOT debatable thats the same reason they talk crap on Canelo.

On the flip side I dont see much coming out of Chavez Sr's major rivals son Camacho Jr.
he has a pretty impressive record himself at 53-4-1 (http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=19105&cat=boxer) but I dont see any real big names on there am I missing something? Oh wait he did fight David Lemiuex and got knocked out. For the umpteenth time...... have you EVER seen me defend Camacho Jr. in a post?!?!? Find ONE post where I've done that. You see.... that's the difference between me and you Margafucko nut huggers. I can be objective and criticize fighters, even when they're from my own country.

So basically you are upset that JCC Sr. is seen as a boxing God as you put it, so you dont like guys like Ray Robinson or anyone from the days when people had over 100 fights on their record? Because I am pretty sure that all of their fights were not lined with HOF's either.
Ray Robinson didn't fight bums with losing records for his first 45 fights of his career.

Tell me what Puerto Rican boxer has the same level of fame or publicity as JCC Jr. at the same point in his career and I am not talking about fame in just PR but also in the states as well.
JCC Jr.'s fame and publicity, as you put it, is based solely on the fact that he's JCC Sr.'s son..... not based on his own merit. Were he "John Doe", he wouldn't even be 44-0 and we wouldn't even be having this conversation. He woulda met a live body already and lost.
