lol.. I hear you..

When somebody claims that guys like Floyd and Ward are boring, that somebody gets accused of not appreciating the sweet science etc etc but that's pure nonsense..

I know many purists/experts/trainers who are bored to death by Ward. My favorite types of fighters are the highly technical, boxer-punchers such as Marquez, Nonito,Linares, and Floyd but I dont get the same vibe from Ward..

Andre Ward's style was different when he was first coming up but he's found an angle that really works for him ... I give him credit because he's one of the few fighters who made drastic changes to his style but as far as entertainment goes, he's bunk...

The main reason why I find him boring is the fact that he's never in a sustained boxing match. He throws a punch or two and dives in for clinch which stalls the action every few seconds.. How the hell is that exciting??

Some dudes act like only the purists can enjoy Ward's style but we all know that's some straight up BS..

Only reason why he dives in for a clinch is because of the same problem guys like John Ruiz and Hatton had.. Their outside game is limited so they resort to clinch and punch tactics... People act like Ward has some godly style but it's not that mind boggling if you know what you are watching..

He throws a punch or two and shoots for a hug..

And some dudes make it seem like he has some exceptional inside game but it's really not...

A great inside fighter knows how to make subtle movements upclose, throw short counters, slip incoming punches etc etc, and punch themselves out from the inside without CLINCHING.... Think of James Toney.. Now that's how you fight up close..

Andre Ward is nowhere near that league and he's boring as shit.
