400 hundred plus treaties broken with the Indians and of course modern America would like to sweep it under the carpet and pretend that the nation wasn't built on bloodshed and mass genocide. They want it to be all nuclear family and apple pie and then look what America has become today. It can't even respect human rights of the privacy of its own citizens. Ah yes, but it is all apple pie and rosy cheeks.

So America is the only nation ever to treat indigenous people that poorly miles? Is that what point you're trying to get across?

Why the relativity? It was awful and in breaking treaties showed a remarkable lack of class and honesty in the settlers. It was beyond awful and was genocide.

It is healthy to point out the truth and not cower from it because we are ashamed and at heart when dealing with the facts, I believe most American's feel torn. They like what they have, but when they learn how they got it, their skin inevitably starts to crawl.

It was savagery and ironically the Indians were called the savages.
