Is this like the EBU-EU title in boxing? Basically, Joe Schmoe off the street, turns up, and becomes a world champion?

Yea I fancy Waites for this one, recently won the Grand Prix this year which included the PDC players, so he has some form going into it.
Put the tv on last night when I got into bed, darts was on, fell asleep after about 20mins of watching it, Ted Hankey match sent me to asleep.

Says a lot about the BDO, that the best average in a final still belongs to Eric Bristow (97.50) from 27 years ago!!

Saturday afternoon was a comedy. There was a couple of the legs when they must have missed 9 each on the double !
Wolfie can hit his big scores and checkouts and he did - but mixing in a load of 43s and 60s isn't what a champion should be doing.
I laughed on Saturday when they showed the averages at one stage. Wolfie was on 89 or so and the other guy 79. They then showed some other stats saying Wolfie would be averaging 105.6 or something 'if you discounted his mixed doubles ' !
I honestly think I would have bagged a few legs against him Saturday.
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

I dont follow or understand darts so I can't comment on the standards. I've been watching though and its pretty entertaining.
That Dutch guy who Hankey has to play tomorrow looks like the likely winner to me. I quite like Hankey though so will root for him.
