If you look at that list and then look at the stages of the careers of the names that actually mean something on it, you will get my point 
I have Holmes a top 5 heavy of all time, based on what I thought of him and the fact that (as you said) he fought the best available, but under scrutiny, those guys weren't great in any sense of the word
